Francesca Decorosi was born on 20.10.1974 in Florence, she got the degree in Biological Science on 08-03-2002.The graduation thesis regarded the study of alkane degradation process in Acinetocater venetianus by molecular and physiological approaches.
From April 2002 to February 2003 she collaborated to research dealing with the effects of agents inducing DNA damage in animal cells by Comet assay approach at the Department of Preclinical and Clinical Pharmacology of the University of Florence.
From March 2003 to December 2004 she was holder of a fellowship at the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology of the University of Florence about the improvement of genomic techniques for the study of microbial ecology.
From January 2004 to October 2008 she participated at a PhD school in "Soil and climatology Science” and she studies the response of soil microbial communities to natural and anthropical stress with particular regard to effects induced by hexavalent chromium.
From November 2008 to December 2010 she was holder of a fellowship at the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology of the University of Florence about the study of bacterial resistance to metals.
From November 2010 to September 2011 she was holder of a fellowship at the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology of the University of Florence dealing with the analysis of environmental bacterial strains by Phenotype Microarray.
From November 2011 to December 2014 she had a temporary position as technician at the Genexpress laboratory of the Department of Agri-food Production and Environmental Science (University of Florence) working on a the project "Upgrade and implementation of an hightroughput method for the analysis of the bacterial phenotypes”
From March 2015 to April 2015 she collaborated to research dealing with the Analysis of microbial samples by Phenotype Microarray” at the Department of Agri-food Production and Environmental Science
Since november 2015 she works as permanent technician at the Genexpress laboratory of the Department of Agri-food Production and Environmental Science as expert of Phenotype Microarray technology.
